Barbara M. Davis

Barbara was born June 13, 1939 in McKinney, TX, and passed away at her home in Garland on February 20, 2010. Barbara worked as a beautician for many years, and was also a great cook and a skilled decorator. She had the innate ability to make simple things look special and elegant. She loved children, laughter, and the Christmas season. She spent time gardening and loved flowers. Barbara could light up a room with her charm, charisma, and radiant personality. To put it simply, she loved people and people loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Lorene McDearmon. Barbara is survived by her husband of 41 years, Gerald L. Davis; sons, Jack Munday, and David Munday & wife Natalie; daughter, Robbin Leff & husband Mikel; step-daughters, Janice Holson & husband Don, and Karen Coffman & husband Nelson; brothers, Charles McDearmon & wife Sally, Ron McDearmon & wife Paula, Roy McDearmon, and Monte McDearmon & wife Joan; sister, Judy Winburn & husband Tommy J.; brother-in-law, Charles E. Davis & wife Beutonne; sister-in-law, Guyla Davis; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM, Tuesday, Feb. 23, and a Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, Feb 24, both will take place at Sparkman Funeral Home in Richardson. Interment will be 10:30 AM, Friday, Feb. 26 at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas. Arrangements under the direction of Sparkman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Richardson, TX.
