She was born on June 24, 1959, in Canyon, Texas, to the late James & Maxine (Page) Donaldson, and was the third of four children. Dede was a 1977 graduate of Clear Lake High School, where she was a cheerleader. She cherished the memories of her childhood while she traveled around the world with her family, and even lived in Iran for a short time. Dede’s love for traveling continued throughout her life, as she enjoyed vacationing with her children on regular beach vacations around the Caribbean. While traveling, Dede relished the opportunity to snorkel, swim, and enjoy a drink on the beach. She would have traveled around the world every day if she could but worked as a corporate travel agent for over 40 years, working for various companies throughout her career.
More than anything, Dede adored her children. She was a devoted mother and put her children above anything else. Although an introvert, Dede was opinionated and strong-willed. She was an easy person to talk to and was a wonderful friend to many.
In addition to her parents, Dede was preceded in death by her brother, Mark Donaldson, and by her niece, Emily Andrews. She is survived by her son, Jake Fogel of Dallas; daughter and son-in-law, Addison & Christopher Bagwell of The Colony; sister and brother-in-law, Vickie & T.C. Jacobs of Temple; brother and sister-in-law, Tobyn & Ann Donaldson of Hutto; and nieces and nephews, Christopher, Amy, Jeremy, Jessica, and Reece.
Inurnment & Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 14, 2021 at 12:00pm in Restland Cemetery at the Whispering Woods Trace Niche Bank/Gazebo.
