

Mr. Hall was born in Denison, Texas to Homer D. and Alice Irene Barclay Hall on a train trip home to Dallas, Texas from a family visit in Oklahoma. He was second oldest of six children.
He graduated from Hillcrest High School in Dallas, Texas, attended The University of North Texas, Texas A&M, and graduated from The University of Texas - Austin (BA). He completed his Masters at Our Lady of the Lake, San Antonio TX. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1956 as a Lieutenant and was stationed in Korea during the Korean War. He served in the Army Reserve through 1964, attaining the rank of Captain. While employed for the U.S. Government as a civilian he made his home in Wiesbaden, Germany for several years.
Returning to the States, he was employed as a Decorative Designer for Anderson’s Studio in Dallas then later moving to Fort Worth, Texas and San Antonio, Texas.
Upon moving to San Antonio, Mr. Hall was employed by the San Antonio ISD as an Art and Drama teacher. He also was involved in judging art contests traveling across Texas. He was beloved by his students.
After retirement in 2003, Mr. Hall moved back to Dallas area to be near his family. He resided in Garland.
Dan was preceded in death both by his parents and his brother Harold D. Hall of Dallas, Texas. He is survived by his sisters Norma Hall Sandoval of Garland, TX, Virginia Hall Edwards of Windermere, Florida, Linda Hall Porier of Katy, Texas, his youngest brother, Hugh Hall of Royce City, Texas along with his many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Visitation is at 9:30am, Service at 10:30am on, Friday May 29th. Arapaho Road Baptist Church. 2256 Arapaho Rd, Garland, TX 75044. The Graveside Service is at DFW National Cemetery 2:00pm.
