Helen Cuchapin Lorenzo

Helen Cuchapin Lorenzo, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. Helen was born November 25, 1935, in San Vicente, Tarlac, Tarlac, Philippines to Catalino D. Cuchapin and Rosalinda Tomas Roque. Helen was raised in Tarlac, Philippines and graduated from Manila Central University in 1956.

She married Gregorio V. Lorenzo in 1965 and the couple had 1 child, Elaine. She was a Registered Nurse at the Methodist Hospital in Houston where she worked for more than 34 years.

In her spare time, Helen enjoyed ornamental gardening, particularly orchids, playing Scrabble and Solitaire, doing word searches, quilting, and loving and taking care of her grandchildren.

Her family and friends will always remember her as a great mother and grandmother and sister, who was loving, compassionate and overall, a generous person with a big heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Catalino and Rosalinda Cuchapin, brothers, Jesus Cuchapin and Edgardo Cuchapin, sister, Lita Cuchapin Dumantay, and grandson, Zachary Paul Lorenzo Zayco.

Helen is survived by her husband, Gregorio Lorenzo, her daughter, Elaine Lorenzo Zayco, and her husband, Andre Carlo Casiple Zayco, with their 3 daughters, Zoe Marie Lorenzo Zayco, Zenia Amelia Lorenzo Zayco, and Zuri Rose Lorenzo Zayco.

A visitation for Helen will be held Friday, September 3, 2021, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sparkman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1029 S Greenville Ave, Richardson, Texas 75081. A rosary service will occur Friday, September 3, 2021, at 6:00 PM, 1029 S Greenville Ave, Richardson, Texas 75081. A Catholic Mass will occur Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 1:00 PM at All Saints Catholic Church, 5231 Meadowcreek Dr, Dallas, TX 75201. The Lorenzo Family requests to wear white at the Memorial Mass to celebrate Helen.
