Hollis Adrian Scoggin, age 89 of Dallas, TX passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016. He was born on October 19, 1926 in Denison, TX to J.A. and Lois Scoggin. He proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII. He married Betty Thornton on July 22, 1950.He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in geological engineering.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Betty Scoggin; daughters, Nancy Kuhn and husband David and Kathy Scoggin; sister, Inez Lewis; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Sparkman Richardson Funeral Home, 1029 S. Greenville Ave., Richardson, TX 75081. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2106 at Highland Park United Methodist Church, 3300 Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, TX 75240.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Mr. Scoggin can be made to the Methodist Children’s Home in Waco, TX www.mch.org or the Wesleyan Fellowship Fund for Highland Park United Methodist Church.
