Jewel Blanche Wooldridge

April 4, 1920 – July 24, 2013

Jewel Blanche Wooldridge; wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and courageous woman has passed this world and joined our Savior in his kingdom! Jewel entered this world on April 21, 1920 in Mason, Texas to Joseph Franklin and Kathryn Conn Stephens. Jewel was later joined by two sisters, Imogene and Jo Del. She was a strong woman who accepted nothing but the best for her life and her family. A humble, giving, and loving woman who lived her life according to God’s will. She was gifted in all that she did; oil painting, square dancing, baking, cooking, fishing, and loving her family.

She fell in love with and honored only one man, Kossie Sullivan Wooldridge and together they gave birth to three wonderful children; Gene Charles and spouse Sharon, Glen Carroll and spouse Sue, and Cheryl Ann and spouse Gary Erwin. They all were fortunate to welcome wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren for her to love and cherish. She lost her beloved husband unexpectedly through a tragic accident in 1982. And she lived the remainder of her life through her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Jewel and Kossie welcomed the following grandchildren: Grandsons David Allen Wooldridge and spouse Diane, Doug Elms, Greg Elms and spouse Suzanne, Jay Elms and spouse Amanda, Michael Erwin and spouse Emily, and Lee Erwin; granddaughters Billie Cherie, Brandi Jean and spouse Kendrick Williams, Leslie and spouse Kirk Bolton, Frances and spouse Randy Strawn, Cary and spouse Randy Crawford. Great grandchildren include: Brandi Nicole, Charles, Bragen, Cameron, Savannah, Avery, Jessica, Sarah, Jackson, Lauren, Ryan, Charleston, Julianne, Samantha, Abigail, Kaitlyn, Raylee, Emily, Ashlynn, and Daimian.

Jewel was predeceased by husband, Kossie, son Glen, sisters, Imogene and Jo Del. Gamma, Memaw lived a challenging but amazing life full of grace, humility, sorrow, and love. We cherish and celebrate her life, and are grateful for all that she has given to us.
