Went to be with his Lord, September 3, 2012. He was born in Cooper, Texas on October 4, 1923. During his 88 years, he served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He received a degree from Texas A&M University and was a true Aggie. His career with Transamerica Insurance spanned over 41 years. In retirement he loved playing golf at Lakewood Country Club. He was an active member of White Rock Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Georgia, 2 brothers; Keith (Betty) and Ted; 2 sons; Keith (Michele) and David (Anne) and 3 grandchildren; Justin, Jeff and Kristyn. A visitation will be held at Sparkman Funeral Home at 11:00 on Friday, Sept.7th with service to follow at noon. Burial at DFW National will be at 2:00pm.
