

Kitty was born in Baird, Texas on August 29, 1917 and moved to Dallas with her parents as a child.
She attended Dallas schools and graduated from Adamson High School in 1934.
Kitty was actively involved in Republican party activities for many years and was a member of the Northwood Republican Women, and later the White Rock Republican Women.
She enjoyed club activities with the Dallas Southern Memorial Association, Public Affairs Luncheon Club, and the Seekers Antiques. Kitty was very involved with each of these groups as a board member, program chairman, and various other positions. She felt very blessed by the friendships with many of the ladies that she knew through these wonderful organizations.
She has been an active member of the Northwest Bible Church for over 50 years and loved attending services there when she was able to do so in her later years.
Kitty especially loved her five wonderful grandchildren and frequently told others how proud she was of each of them. She always showed the latest photos of her family to anyone who would take the time to look at them. One of her grandchildren lives in New York, one lives in Dallas, and the rest reside in Austin, Texas. Her daughter lives in Dallas, and her daughter-in-law lives in Wimberly, Texas.
Kitty was preceeded in death by her mother Annette Clarke and her first husband W. W. "Bill" Schaefer, as well as her second husband Dale B. Johnson. She is also preceeded in death by her son Wilson Edward Schaefer whom passed tragically in 2009.
Kitty was known for her vivacious personality, her can-do spirit, many special friends, an excellent knack for Sothern-style cooking, her unquestionable love for the Lord, a firey passion for politics, and her drive for accomplishment. She was loved by many and was a unique Southern lady that will be deeply missed by all of those in her life.
