In 2008, he became an active member and served the American Legion on the executive board, and in official positions before becoming Commander (2014-2016) of the American Legion Harding Blaine Post 321. Also, Larry has spent the last 12 years as a member of the Post Honor Guard performing military rights for many veterans.
His favorite pastimes were fishing in Local tournaments and hunting. He also enjoyed regular trips to the BB Ranch in Texas, where he visited with the bison, participated in the Bison roundups, and hung out with family. He was a diehard Packer fan, rooting and cheering for his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers.
