Mary Magdalene Griggs

Mary graduated from Desert High School in California, and received an Associate of Arts & Science from Brevard Community College. She married Edward C. Griggs on May 27, 2006. Mary was a licensed massage therapist, and was the owner and operator of Body Workers. She was a member of the American Massage Therapy Association, and the Texas Reelers Squaredance Club.

Mary had a passion for squaredancing, traveling, cooking, music, gardening, and crafting. She will be missed by all.

Mary is survived by her husband, Edward C. Griggs; children, Debbie Dodd, Janice Dodd, John Dodd, and Julie Dodd; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and sister, Barbara Goodwin of North Carolina. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Dodd; and granddaughter, Alexis Newbauer.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Sparkman Funeral Home in Richardson, Texas. The funeral service will also be at Sparkman Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 2 PM in the chapel. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
