To my dear Southern Belle auntie who was the beloved sweetheart of the Southern Gentleman--

Sybil--I smile and get tears in my eyes when I think of your loving heart and beautiful, glowing face (and us walking through Neiman Marcus in Texas and you generously saying you would buy us whatever we wanted--including the perfume bottle that was as big as a house!).  I've been reading the entries in this guestbook--and viewing the photos--and I am still crying.  My heart is bursting with memories of your family--and with love for you all.  We laugh so often about great and adorable Rayette moments.  I am so blessed to have known you all.  Sending mountains of love from the Rocky Mountains and wishes for a healed heart, replete with memories of our dear Randy.

Hi Pow, today was Mother's Day and I am sure Mom had a good day.  She was going to see you with Juan and Jennifer.  I did not go but she was to tell you I love you and miss you still. Dear Aunt Sybil and family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Uncle Randy was loved by all. He was a special uncle to me. He was always kind and loving and I have great childhood memories of visiting you and vice versa. Your family has been in my prayers for many months now and I hope you are all healing with the knowledge that you are surrounded by love. This is a big family and the love that we have for one another is great. I hope you feel it and know how much we care about you all. I have thought about my Aunt Sybil most of all during this time. You are one of the sweetest people I have ever met. For the longest time, I didn't know if you were my mom's sister or if Randy was her brother. You have loved us all equally and it is so appreciated! You are without your husband, partner and best friend and I know that must be almost unbearable. But I hope you can still feel the love from the other side. I know my Uncle Randy loved you and the family more than life its self. I am so grateful to have been able to spend the small amount of time with you two while we lived in Texas. You are a wonderful family and I love you all very much.

Katelyn and I wish we could be there with you. You have truely been in our thoughts and prayers. If I was there I would give you such a long hug right now. We are both so emotional we would probably cry a river together. 
I wanted to let you know how much Randy meant to us. Tony will tell you how much I always admired Randy's good character and intelligence. He was so easy to talk to and I loved conversations with him. When he visited I loved how he would get right on the floor with the kids to play with them, he always had a special connection to children that everyone noticed. I never say a child that didn't just LOVE Randy. I will especially remember his love of music, all kinds of music. Katelyn has such a fond memory of going to see Mama Mia with Randy in Las Vegas. I'm so glad we shared that with him. I know Tony has felt so LUCKY to have Randy in his life and loved him so much. He respected and admired Randy and appreciated having him as a DAD. We will miss Randy's sparkly eyes looking over his reading glasses at us saying something witty or funny. We will miss his laughter, his easy going nature and his GOOD HEART. We will miss an awesome GRANDFATHER AND FATHER. RANDY WE WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER.

Dear Sybil and all your Family,  We've lost (For a time only) a very well loved and wonderful member from "Our Long Line of Love" Family!!  Two years ago when we made our five-week road trip to Texas and spent a few days with you guys in Dallas, Ace's family in El Paso, Our daughter, Rachelle, Jim, Cole & Seth (our two youngest grandsons) in Texarcana; it was a super trip of a lifetime!  We had such a wonderful time with all of you; and Randy made us some fabulous music cassettes ie: Military music, Country Westerns, Christmas Songs and others...we love all of them (The first time I'd heard, "A Long Line of Love" and especially liked the one Called, "No easy Horses", It says, There's no easy horses but you still have to learn how to ride.  I think it's a good philosophy for life, and one I think my dear brother, Randy, lived by!!  Love you Bro.! (All your dear family, too!!)  Till we meet again, on the "Other Side" Shirley & Bob P.

Dear Sybil and family,
I treasure all of you from the moments we met the first time when Randy brought you to Portland, Oregon.  Bridgette and Tony were little kids, and gorgeous Sybil was that sweetheart we've known ever since.  Randy was so in love with all of you, and has been ever since.  You and now Bridgette's and Tony's children are so treasured by all our family.  All the nieces and nephews have always asked if Randy & Sybil were coming to the Reunion and felt like it wasn't a true reunion the few times you weren't there.  Randy was a perfect big brother to me.  I never remember one unkind word or act from him.  He was a wonderfully fun brother to grow up with, and has been a dear friend and brother all our grown-up lives.  I used to love it when he'd stand me against the barn wall and shoot milk straight from the cow into my mouth.  He had a good aim!! We love the thought that when someone we love goes to Heaven we have a guardian angel we know by name.  I know he will especially be looking after you--his treasured wife, children and grandchildren.  Heaven is lucky to have such a giant soul come home.
We love you all forever.

Mencius said “The great man is he who does not lose his child’s heart.”  Uncle Randy not only held his children’s hearts, but he held countless others who were privileged to experience his unconditional love.  He was truly a great man.  He always made me feel as though what I had to say was important, whether I was nine or forty-nine.  He and Sybil gave me some of my most treasured memories.  His love and way he showed it was a great influence on me as a child and something I still try to emulate, but never as well.   I know from previous experience that I will adapt to life without him in it, but I will never forget him.  He’ll be forever in my heart.  I’m not alone, Uncle Randy left a large extended family who will all miss him very much.  As a great man he left a great legacy of love.
