Robert (Bob) Erwin Fash, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family at his home on August 10, 2021. Bob was born February 22, 1940, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Roy Adams and Dorothy (Lawry) Adams and was adopted at age four by Glen Preston Fash (husband of Dorothy Lawry). After college, he honorably served 20 years in the United States Navy and retired as a Commander. Coinciding with his Naval career, Bob spent 25 years at Travelers Insurance Company and retired at 52 after moving to the Dallas area.
Married to Marilou on September 30, 1963 in Seattle, WA, they quickly began their life together, enduring many relocations with the Navy and Travelers while raising three wonderful daughters. Bob was a family man first and always enjoyed bringing his loved ones together. From a very young age, he was an avid hunter and outdoorsman with a passion for duck hunting and fishing. While managing a successful career and being a devoted father, he always found time to coach his daughters and plan many outdoor adventures for his family including fishing, hunting, canoeing and camping. He had a passion for staying active around the house along with making time to be with friends playing softball, volleyball, tennis, golf and bowling. Throughout his life, Bob shared his passion for hunting with his children and grandchildren creating memories and stories they will never forget. As Bob and Marilou settled into retirement life, you could always find Bob working in his yard and chatting with their neighbors. In his later years, as it became harder to enjoy his hunting trips, he developed a passion for playing poker and participated in many poker tournaments. As we will all remember, Bob was quick to engage with people and collect new friends with a constant smile and always ready with a joke to tell. He will be dearly missed by his devoted and affectionate family, extensive network of friends and strangers that he always left with a smile.
Predeceased by his brother John, nephew John (Little John) nephew Delta, and his beloved furry companions, Punkin and Bear.
Survived by his wife Marilou (his #1 hunting partner), three daughters Page, Holly, Brandy (husband Jeff), grandchildren Preston (26), Rachel (25), Ryan (21), Phoebe (20) and Lauren (14), brother Phil (Tracy), sisters Mary (Ben) and Christy (Rodger), his nieces Tracy (Brandon), Louann, Halley (Patrick) and Carleigh, nephews Allen (Toby), Brian, Matt (Amanda), Branson (Alicia) and their children.
