Ronald L Dorst

Ron graduated from Custer High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering. He married the love of his life, Clarice Ann Dorst, on August 7, 1965.

Ron had a distinguished career in design and management with Honeywell, Control Data, and Andrew Corporations. He was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

Ron enjoyed fishing and biking and was a member of the Plano Biking Club. After retiring from the technical world, his creative nature turned to working on sculptural pieces out of metal that were both geometric and kinetic works of art.

Ron is survived by his wife, Clarice Dorst; his sons, Jeffrey (Norma) and Douglas (Gracie Ferge) Dorst; and his grandson, Stephen Dorst. He is also survived by his sister Carol Vuchnich and her husband, Dr. Walter Vuchnich; and brother-in-law Robert Kiefert and his wife Laura Kiefert.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Sparkman Funeral Home, 1029 S. Greenville Ave, Richardson, TX 75081.
