Suk was born on January 22, 1944 in Kwangcheon, Korea. He met and married Hee Jin Song in 1980. As a couple, they immigrated to the US so he could further his education. After obtaining his doctorate, he went back to Korea to support his family and lectured at his alma mater, Kunkook University. Suk ultimately returned to the US so his sons could get an American education. He owned a driving range that allowed him to spend time teaching his sons golf and enjoy his favorite sport. Although his retirement was shortened due to his battle with melanoma, Suk enjoyed practicing Chinese calligraphy and learning the guitar in his free time.
Suk is survived by his wife and two sons, Fred and William. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Isabella and Paxton.
Visitation will be on November 3, 2023, at Sparkman Funeral Home from 12-6 pm. Funeral services will be at Sparkman on November 4, 2023.
