

Thelma Jean Jordan was born to Ben Johnson and Jeanette DeBerry on June 18, 1957, in Memphis Tennessee, and was the youngest girl of eight children. Thelma Jean graduated from Manassas High School in 1974, and in that same year she married Joe Moore and on July 28th, they welcomed a beautiful baby girl named Kevaland Shante Moore, they lovingly called Pookie.
In 1977 Thelma Jean decided that she wanted to leave Memphis, so she moved her self and her daughter to New York then to Detroit in 1979. Thelma Jean made her permanent home in California in 1983 where she was known as Jean. Jean met Ronnie Jordan and they were married in 1988 and welcomed a handsome baby boy on March 21, 1989, who they named Kamarrian NaClay Jordan. Jean was skilled in so many different professions from making wigs to interior design. Jean was also an amazing sales specialist and worked for many different stores and companies all over the Bay Area including Nordstrom’s which was her last career choice.
Jean was very classy, beautiful and stylish, everywhere she went she turned heads as she had a very beautiful smile that would light up any room she stepped in and a very contagious laugh. Jean was a loving mother, who raised 2 very strong independent children and she was very loved by all who knew her as was a kind and loving spirit.
Jean leaves behind to miss her loving voice her beautiful mother Jeanette DeBerry her loving children Kevaland Moore and Kamarrian Jordan, and her adoring grandchildren ScyDayah Quest and Gregory Sadler Jr. (Tito). Jean will also be missed by her caring siblings Harry Lindsay, Vella Noel, Dorothy Faye DeBerry, Ernest Johnson, Alma Holmes, and Andrew Johnson and so many devoted nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Jean will be joining her grandmother Mintry Walker, her father Ben Johnson and older brother Otis DeBerry.
