Vivian Flemento Fields was born in Dallas, TX on January 10, 1935 to the parentage of the late James and Luetter Fields, Sr. She received her formal education from Booker T Washington High School in Dallas Texas. At an early age, Vivian accepted Christ at the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Late, Rev. J. McGlover. She later united with the First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park under the leadership of the Late, Dr. J. L. Foster.
Vivian’s career path included Texas Instruments and Western Electric. Her genuine and nurturing spirit touched so many lives, which led to her pursuing a career in the medical field, as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). Through her love of people and blessed hands to cook, she found her true passion, Catering. Vivian was known for her awesome hamburgers that made the Hamilton Park Snack Bar, a frequented eatery by many of the Dallas Cowboys. Vivian would soon birth her own business, Fields Wedding and Catering Service, which she operated for over 40 years and continued until her health failed. Momma, Vivian, Nanny, Aunt BB, never met a stranger. If you knew her; you fell in love with her instantly.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; James and Luetter Fields Sr; brother, Willis Fields, daughter; Joyce F. Chester and son, Rickey R. Fields.
On January 30, 2020, Vivian transitioned to her heavenly home.
Those left to cherish her precious memories are daughters, Bridget J. Mitchell (Deboise) and Sheila Bullard. Six grandchildren; Terrilyn, La Donna, Michael, Christopher, Sheniqua, and Darren. Sixteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. One brother, James Fields Jr (Dorothy); Sister in law, Le Verne Fields; two sisters, Glenda F. Walker and Aquanetta F. Cooper, a beloved God brother, Jimmy Bufford, and a host of nephews and nieces, and friends.
