Edna L. Williford Futrell

.Edna Williford Futrell, 72, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at her residence in Richlands. She was welcomed with open arms by her husband Ed to continue their journey together. She was surrounded by her loving family during her short battle with lung cancer.

Edna was a loving wife and mother. She was a lifelong homemaker. One of Edna’s favorite times was spent driving Penske Trucks with her husband after his retirement. She enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Edna will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years: Edward Futrell and her daughter: Wendy Gail.

Visitation will be on Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home, Richlands from 6–8 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Funeral Home, Richlands with Rev. Robert Earl Jarman and Rev. Phil Shepard officiating. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.

She is survived by Sons: Bruce, and Phillip Futrell (Donna); Daughters: Anita Smith (Mike), and Sandra Riggs (John); Brothers: David and Marvin Williford; Sister: Sadie Williams; Grandchildren: Jason (Sarah), Matthew (Tiffany), Robbie, Chase (Jamie), Kyle (Laken), Kelly (Matthew), Brandon, and Chloe; Step Grandchildren: 4; Great Grandchildren: McKenzie, Ayden, Caroline, Kourtnie; Step Great Grandchildren: 9; and many loving nieces and nephews, in addition to many loving family and friends.
