

Angel Michelle Vaughn was born on Dec 17, 1979 in Richmond, California to the proud parents of Roy and Bonnie Henderson. She was the youngest of three children. Angel’s beloved aunty, Birda Arnold also helped to raise her.
Angel was a product of the West Contra Costa Unified School District. She attended El Sobrante Elementary, Juan Crespi Junior High and graduated from De Anza High School in El Sobrante, CA. In addition, she received her A. A. Degree in criminal justice from the University of Phoenix. After college, worked at Walgreens in Richmond, CA, Kmart in Pinole, CA, and Walgreens in Vallejo, CA.
Angel was a hard-working woman. She went on to become a highly respected and beloved mail carrier for the United States Postal office, in Oakland, CA. She was loved by all of her customers. They truly appreciated her. Angel was known at the Post Office for having a great attitude and beautiful, positive Aura. Her smile lit up every street, she walked down.
Angel accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Richmond, CA under the leadership of the late Superintendent Archie Brice. As Angel became a young adult, she and her husband Broderick Vaughn choose to develop their personal relationships with God. On the same day, they both accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives at Joshua House of Prayer under the leadership of Pastor Daniel Newman, Sr. in San Pablo, CA. While attending there, Angel was the Head Usher and the Youth Sunday School Teacher. Later, Angel attended Lamb of God Church in El Sobrante, CA. under the leadership of Pastor Roger Vaughn, Jr., where she was known for being inquisitive about the faith and the Bible.
Angel met the love of her life Broderick Vaughn in 1997. They were high school sweethearts, and were truly in love. The two love birds were happily married on August 21, 1999 and to this union seven blessings (children) were born: Anareae Vaughn, Broderick Vaughn, Jr. (BJ), Chardanae Vaughn, Cabernae Vaughn (TT); and the twins, Asia Vaughn, Autumn Vaughn, and Ari Vaughn.
Angel loved, cherished and nourished all of her children. They were the apple of her eyes and the center of her universe.
She was truly a great mother. She encouraged all of her kids to make good grades and aspired them to further their education by going to college and obtaining their degrees… They were her world!
Angel loved the Lord with all her heart, soul and mind. In addition, she loved to listen to good, sound biblical teaching. Angel believed in keeping the Lord first and she loved her family. She also loved to feed the homeless. Most of all, Angel loved to go out on dates with her husband, to try different cuisines and different restaurants. She enjoyed exposing the children to the variety and bringing them along, as well. Wow! That dinner bill was huge!
Furthermore, Angel enjoyed traveling to Monterey, CA with her husband, whom she affectionately called “Hubb” and “my forever love.” The two enjoyed touring the coast of California, and walking on the beautiful beaches together, hand and hand. She loved for Broderick to go with her to her job on his off days. He would accompany her on her route, as she delivered the mail.
Angel's favorite gospel artist was Marvin Sapp, her favorite song was “I believe.”
Last but, certainly not least, Angel was super clean. She thoroughly enjoyed to clean with her favorite cleaning products which were the purple Fabuloso, and the original Pine-sol.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Usher.
Her beautiful life will always be cherished by her loving and devoted husband, Broderick Vaughn; her beloved children, Anareae Vaughn, Broderick Vaughn Jr, Chardanae Vaughn, Cabernae Vaughn, and the twins- Asia Vaughn, Autumn Vaughn, and Ari Vaughn of Vallejo, CA. Her mother, Bonnie Henderson of Oakland, CA. Her father, Roy Henderson of Richmond, CA; a brother, Dennis Cooper (Lakeisha) of Monroe, LA; her sister, cousins, Teresa Arnold and Bessie Arnold of Richmond, CA; an Aunt, Birda Arnold of Lakewood, WA; her parents in- law, Roger Vaughn, Sr., and Deloris Vaughn of Vallejo, CA; two, brother in-laws, Roger Vaughn (Laura) of Sacramento, CA and Lendale Vaughn of Vallejo, CA; three sister in-laws, Rogina Vaughn, Deloris Vaughn and Michelle Vaughn of Vallejo, CA; Loving, extended family – The Featherstone Family, Williams family, Henderson Family, Vaughn family, Arnold Family, Brown family, Jackson Family, Smith family; the Ephesians Church Family, and a host of dear friends.
A public viewing for Angel will be held Monday, November 22, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Fuller Funerals, Inc, 3100 Cutting Blvd, Richmond, CA 94804. A celebration of her life will occur Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Shiloh Church Of God In Christ, 501 Lemon Street, Vallejo, CA 94591.
