

Ms. Dizella Carter was born in San Francisco, CA on May 29, 1955, the daughter of the late Annie Rockmore and Daniel Lee Carter, Jr.
Ms. Carter accepted Christ as Lord and Savior, uniting with Uptown Church of Christ in San Francisco, CA at an early age. She went on to become a member at MacDonald Avenue Church of Christ in Richmond, CA where she continued her work in the Kingdom.
Dizella received her education in San Francisco, CA and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School. She continued her education at City College of San Francisco.
Dizella had many passions throughout her life. One was for singing, for which she participated in several local gospel groups. She was passionate about her family and spent a great deal of time with them. Dizella's true passion and the one she turned into a career was helping others. Ms. Dizella used her knowledge and position to help those around her. She had a 30-year career in public housing that allowed her to thrive. Her career started in San Francisco, CA at the San Francisco Housing Authority but, transferred to the Contra Costa Housing Authority which is where she retired from in 2019.
Dizella was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and confidant. She will be missed dearly by her loved ones who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her Creator.
A public viewing for Dizella will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Fuller Funerals, Inc, 3100 Cutting Blvd, Richmond, CA 94804. A celebration of life will occur Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM at MacDonald Avenue Church of Christ, 4709 MacDonald Avenue, Richmond, CA.
