

Mr. Hilton Ray Box, age 84, of Oakland, California passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022. He was born on January 16, 1938, to the proud parents of Bolton and Brooksie Coleman Box in Prescott, Arkansas. He was the third son of five children Charles Leon, William Aaron, Eva Jewell, and Edward Lynn.
In 1943, they moved to California where both parents worked in the shipyard during World War II. He graduated from El Cerrito High School in 1955. Thereafter, he enlisted in the Air Force. On October 10, 1959, Hilton married Helen June Jones Box and thereafter, continued singly on his journey serving in the Air Force until 1967, and was honorably discharged.
Mr. Box began working at the Naval air station in Alameda, CA as a Systems Analyst where he worked until his retirement in 1993. He enjoyed art and music, and his hobbies included photography and fishing.
Mr. Hilton Ray Box leaves to cherish his memory three children, Barbara Maxine, Stephanie Lynn, and Stephen Hilton; stepchildren, Tommy and Cherlyn; three grandchildren, Tameka Shaunte', Aaron James Robert, and Jared Elijah; a sister in law, Maxine box; an uncle, Clemon Box, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mr. Hilton Ray Box was a good man with a great sense of humor who was loved by many... we will honor his memory.
A viewing for Mr. Box will be held Monday, April 4, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Fuller Funerals, Inc, 3100 Cutting Blvd, Richmond, CA 94804. A celebration of his life will occur on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Fuller Funeral, Inc, 3100 Cutting Blvd, Richmond, CA 94804. A committal service will occur on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Rd, Dixon, CA 95620.
