STOCKTON - Randy J. White passed away unexpectedly on November 23, 2022, at the age of 66. He was on his way back home to his wife in Stockton after doing one last ride share trip to the San Francisco airport. He started feeling bad in San Leandro, so he pulled over, got out of the car, pressed his medical alert device before collapsing. We can take solace in knowing that he wasn’t alone as Good Samaritans stopped to come to his aid before the police and ambulance arrived. It was later determined by the medical staff at Highland General Hospital in Oakland that the probable cause of death was from a heart attack.
Randy was born October 4, 1956, in Berkeley, CA to Pete and Ernestine White. His early education was obtained from the Oakland Unified School District at Emerson Elementary, Longfellow Middle, and graduated from Castlemont High Schools. After graduating high school, he embarked on a brief enlistment with the Army National Guard beginning on February 15, 1974. He was honorably discharged. After his stay in the Army National Guard, he went to Laney College for Culinary Arts.
Randy met his future wife in 1977. He married Rosebelen Beam (Nunte) of Oakland, CA on September 21, 1996, in Reno, NV. The marital union was witnessed by Rosebelen’s sisters April Scott (deceased) and Jacqueline Louis. Randy and Rosebelen celebrated 26 years of marital bliss but were together for a total of 45 years. Randy and Rosebelen were members of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Richmond, CA.
Randy received several accolades during his working career. He received a Certificate of Merit from Weyerhaeuser for Outstanding Quality Production as a Rotary Die Cutter Operator from January 1, 1992, through June 30, 1992. He successfully completed Truck Driving School from Precision Truck School Incorporated in Oakland and received his Commercial Driver’s License on September 1, 1995. This led him to jobs working for Madden Trucking Company, Silver Star Bus Company, and AC Transit. Randy received a Certificate of Promotion from Orientation Class to Men’s Class from St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church on November 27, 2011.
Randy enjoyed playing Spades and Dominoes. He loved to fish and cooking BBQ using a charcoal grill. He enjoyed listening to Gospel music and spreading the word of the Lord. He had a gift of talking about the Lord without being overbearing in an effort to bring people to the possibility of wanting to become saved and getting to know God.
Randy was preceded in death by both parents, Pete and Ernestine White; his sister Eula Mae White; nephew Little Randy; In-Laws: Mary Jean Brown (mother), April Scott (sister), Kent Jones and Kenneth Brown (brother); Fognasina Sao (niece).
Randy leaves a void in the hearts of his beloved wife Rosebelen Beam-White (Nunte); daughters Renee White and Lutricia White; sons Reginald Johnson and Toussainte White; brothers Marvin White and Andrew White; sisters Petrie Hobdy, Laurice White, Letha White, and Maybelline White; grandchildren Reginald II, Ranesha, Alliyah, Jah’ni, Naja, Masiah; sister-in-laws Chantay Bronson and Jaqueline Louis; many nieces, nephews, aunts, and friends.
