Raymond “Raymos” Hardman, Sr. was born in Oakland, CA on May 25, 1976 to his parents Richard and Billie Hardman. He attended elementary and junior high school in Oakland and Berkeley, CA until his family relocated to Richmond, CA where he attended El Cerrito High School.
Raymond’s life changed forever after he became a father to his son Raymond Hardman Jr. He was a proud father, and very excited to have his namesake “Junior” as he called him. Raymond loved hanging out with his son, playing basketball on his mini-court, video games and escorting him on field trips to the amusement park, museums and more. Of all hobbies, interests or jobs he held, he loved being a father the most.
As a young adult, Raymond accepted Christ uniting with St.Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Richmond, CA.
Raymond was a natural athlete, he loved all sports but enjoyed basketball the most. He joined the Oakland Rebels where he played AAU basketball for many years. His love for basketball never faded, he continued to play even as an adult. He played in the midnight league, YAP and most often at San Pablo Park, where he would stay on the court all day playing for hours on end. If he wasn’t playing basketball he was watching it, high school, college and the NBA... he loved it all!
Raymond loved music. Whether writing, rapping or just listening, he was always full of life whenever music was involved. His passion for music was passed on to his son, Raymond Jr. after taking him to his first studio session. Raymond and Uncle Calvin would sit for hours with Raymond, Jr. singing, rapping and making music.
Raymond was the life of the party no doubt. He always greeted you with a smile, upbeat and ready to party. He was very competitive and always ready to out dance, and outshine anyone who dared to battle him dancing. He was known for coming into the party and clearing the entire dance floor with his dance moves.
He enjoyed hanging out with family and friends. He loved to dress nice and he always wanted to look his best, sometimes trying on multiple outfits before leaving the house. He had such a funny, kind, light-hearted and joking spirit but If he noticed anything wrong with your outward appearance rest assured he was going to talk about you.
His spirit, his presence, and his liveliness will be missed.
