Richard X. Waters Richard X. Waters, 82, of Larkspur passed away February 16, 2015. Richard, beloved husband, respectable father, loving grandfather and true friend, died peacefully from complications of Parkinson's disease. Rich was a proud San Franciscan, graduate of SI and USF, and had a successful 50-year banking career. In retirement, Rich went into real estate and volunteered his time in the San Francisco Archdiocese, happily serving many. He was a man of many passions: a devoted food lover, world sailor and traveler, remarkable photographer, and dedicated dog walker. He treasured his Irish heritage, his Catholic faith and Church. Rich's favorite pastime was sitting by the pool and watching his grandkids swim and play. Then he'd go for a little tootle in his boat up the Corte Madera Creek, chatting with neighbors along the way. He delighted in sailing adventures on the Bay, Virgin Islands, and Caribbean with his buddies and was a long-time member of the San Francisco Yacht Club and Olympic Club. Rich is survived by his lovely wife of 56 years, Joan Marie Waters, three delightful children, Patrick (Danelle), Michael (Yurexi), and Jennifer (David), and three grandchildren: Charlotte, Aaron and Willie. He was especially fond of his dog Misty and feeding her treats. Rich was predeceased by his only brother Milton Waters. Services will be held February 28, 2015 at St. Anselm's 11:00 am. Reception will follow at St. Anselm's Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a favorite charity.
