Maria Esther Hernandez, born in Mojarras, Ciudad Fernández, San Luis Potosí, was the beloved daughter of Silvestre Maldonado Hernandez and Maria Crecencia Guevara Pedraza. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who dedicated her life to caring for the people she loved. Maria had a kind heart and a caring spirit that made everyone around her feel welcomed, supported, and loved. Her family was always the center of her world, and she worked tirelessly to make sure her children and loved ones were taken care of.
She was married to Omar Padron and leaves behind her two beloved children, Christian Hernandez and Kasandra Padron. She also leaves behind eight siblings — three brothers and five sisters — along with many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Maria was the kind of person who brought her family together. She loved organizing family gatherings, spending time with her loved ones, and hosting lotería nights filled with laughter and unforgettable memories. She was also deeply committed to her work and gave her best every day at both of her jobs, showing strength, dedication, and determination in everything she did.
Maria found joy in the simple things in life. She loved watching airplanes, traveling, and taking pictures of her family and the places she visited. Through those photographs, she captured moments that her family will forever hold close to their hearts. During her two-year battle with cancer, we witnessed just how strong Maria truly was. No matter how difficult the days became, she never gave up. She faced every challenge with courage, faith, and love, continuing to think about her family even during her hardest moments. Her strength inspired everyone around her and showed us what true resilience looks like.
A woman of deep faith, Maria was devoted to the Catholic Church throughout her life. Even while bedridden, she faithfully asked to watch Catholic services online every morning at exactly 8:00 a.m. Her faith gave her peace, comfort, and strength, and it remained a guiding light in her life until the very end. Maria will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered by all whose lives she touched.
