Nécrologie de Albert "Al" George Woods
Albert “Al” G. Woods, 62, of Henrico, VA, fell asleep on Saturday, April 13, 2019, and is now awaiting the return of our lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Al was born September 16, 1956, in California, the son of Elmer and Inge Woods. They moved to Saginaw, Michigan where he grew up. He was employed by AMF Bakery Systems, Richmond, VA. Al’s love for God, his family and his friends was obvious to all. His great sense of humor, huge warm smile and hearty laugh made it easy to find him in a crowd. He had a heart to serve and freely gave of himself to help those around him. Al fellowshipped for many years with The Way International, a non-denominational Christian ministry. He faithfully participated in home fellowships, classes and activities. He held several positions of leadership and participated in ministry outreach programs. He was a faithful steward, committed to live the Truth of God’s Word that he knew and understood. He frequently expressed his thankfulness for the richness of his life and blessings from God, among the most precious, his wife and daughter. Al will be lovingly remembered by Nancy, his wife of almost fifteen years and his wonderful daughter, Genevieve. Al is also survived by his parents, Elmer and Inge Woods of Saginaw, Michigan, sister Kris Woods of Falmouth, Michigan, brothers, Robert and Jeff with his wife, Sue of Saginaw, Michigan, brothers Tom of Lansing, Michigan, John of Atlanta, Georgia, and James with his wife Roberta of Panama City, Florida and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Al loved and was loved by many. Thursday, April 18, 2019, a recognition service and celebration of Al’s life will be held at Woody Funeral Home - Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Henrico, VA, 2:00 p.m., Rev. Eric Koetteritz officiating.
