ANGELA CHRISTINE MONTGOMERY Entered this world on Sunday, June 28, 1981 in Murray, Utah and left her loved ones on Sunday, June 6, 2021 in Richmond, Virginia, at the age of 39 as a result of a scooter accident. Survived by her boyfriend and soulmate Justin Osborne, Richmond, Virginia, parents Tanya Popoff-Rogne, Cedar Hill, Texas and James Jones, Oxnard, California, older brother Brandon Bass, So. Carolina, sister Cody Beal, brother-in-law James and nieces Destiny, DawnJay and Emerald, Cedar Hill, Texas and younger brother Daniel Montgomery, wife Alida and nieces Olivia, Carling and McKenzie of So. Carolina. She is the granddaughter of the late Max Popoff, Roseville, California and the late Erma May (Popoff) Hulbert and the late Richard Hulbert, Roseville, California. Attending Kaseberg Elementary, Warren T. Eich Intermediate and becoming the first graduating class of Buljan Intermediate in 1995, and graduating with honors from Roseville High School in 1999. During Angela's school years she played softball, advanced dance, cheerleading, skiing and honor roll as well as many honor trips and awards. She was an active youth at the Roseville Baptist Church where she accepted the Lord as Her Savior and was baptized in 1992, attending several church missions to Mexico with her youth group. Graduating from California State University, Sacramento/ROTC with honors in 2003 when she commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S.A.F., where she proudly served her Country while completing her Masters Degree as an Officer. While in ROTC at C.S.U.S., was selected the summer prior to senior year, to go to the U.S. Air Force Academy to fly motorized gliders as part of an Air Force Program. Out of the twenty-eight selected for the program, she was only one of two females. She ended up being one of only seven who soloed and graduated from the progam. Walked in two Bataan Memorial Death Marches in White Sands Missle Range, New Mexico honoring prisioners who were forced to walk 66 miles in 1942 during WWII. After leaving the Air Force she worked for the FBI before working ten years at the Pentagon for the U.S.A.F. At the time of her death she worked for VCU MCV Hospital in Richmond, Virginia and was volunteering as a community servant for Narcotics Anonymous. Her presence will be greatly missed by all those who she inspired and blessed with her love and passion.
