Ann Matthews Taylor

Ann Matthews Taylor, went to be with the Lord on March 14, 2011. Mrs. Taylor was born in Richmond, Virginia and attended Ridge High School. She worked as a cashier with Safeway Grocery and Memco Department Store. She enjoyed reading her Bible, cooking, crafts, and her flowers. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Benjamin Brown Taylor; and her parents, Grace Bellam Matthews and Arthur Raymond Matthews. She is survived by her three daughters, Nancy Taylor Hubbard and Pamular Lee Taylor, both of Williamsburg, Virginia, and Rita Faye Pelfrey and husband, Ronald, of Sacramento, California; brother, Raymond Wesley Matthews and wife, Billie, of Richmond, Virginia; sister, Babara Taylor Allen of California; three grandchildren, William "Bill" Hubbard and wife, Heidi and Rebecca Hubbard Democko and husband, Stephen, all of Williamsburg, Virginia, and Rocky Pelfrey and wife, Jennifer, of Sacramento, California; also five great-grandchildren; special friend, Earldean; and many other friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 North Parham Road, and where a funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. Interment Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
