SALMONS, Betty Jean Moring, born October 20, 1940, and loving wife of Robert E. Salmons for 50 years, died January 21, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, George E. Moring and Elizabeth Greenwood. Survivors also include her children, Robert "Robbie" Salmons Jr. and his wife, Vicky and Kelly P. McDowell and her husband, David; four grandchildren, Jessica McDowell and her fiancé‚ Andrew Jessee, Alex McDowell, Melanie McDowell and Haley Stewart.
Mrs. Salmons was co-owner of Richmond Printing Service and Salmons Properties. She was a past president and loyal member of the Goochland's Women's Club.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., where services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem Christian School, 1701 Cardwell Road, Crozier, Va. 23039.
