It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful son Cabell Benton Hawkins, 26, of Richmond, VA. Cabell grew up with immense curiosity and loved the outdoors.
He enjoyed snowboarding, fishing, swimming, tennis, baseball & music. He was very creative and an entrepreneur of a tennis shoes business at age 14. He was very interested in fashion, design, art & creating music. Cabell was an avid wrestler, and an AAU State Champion. He was working on a fashion business. He brought immeasurable joy & light into our lives with a kind heart, beautiful smile & silly antics. He was a devoted body-builder at Gold's Gym & worked hard daily to build his physique. He loved the beach, and tranquility & peace of the ocean. He had become very united with God and was very in tune with his faith & Christianity. He would encourage others to seek out their faith.
He is preceded in death by Robert "Bob" Benton, Margie & Jim Hawkins, John Dartez & Linda Staples. He is survived by his immediate family Lisa, Paul, Caroline & Cooper Hawkins, and beloved dog Cosmo. Grandparents Constance Childress & Johnson Childress. His Aunts; Christine Hawkins, Jamie Tibbs (G.T.), Holly Dartez, Brandy Benton Rogers (Robert). His uncles James Hawkins (Hillary), T.J. Childress (Sarah), Ryan Childress. Along with many cousins & 2nd cousins. Leaving behind wonderful friendships, dearest to his heart Nick & Hanna that will never be forgotten. Praise God for his mercy & grace.
On Friday July 12th the family wilI be accepting friends at Woody Funeral Home-Parham, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Richmond, VA from 4 PM to 7 PM. The service will be held at River Road Presbyterian Church, 8960 River Rd. Richmond, VA at 11 AM July 13th followed by a reception and graveside service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his honor to NAMI.
