Born with a caretaker's heart, Camille dedicated her life to service, including her significant contributions to the New York education system. She served with distinction as a school board member, vice chair of the board of education, profoundly impacting the lives of countless students and their families. After moving to Virginia, she continued this passion by serving as an assistant special education teacher in Chesterfield County for nearly a decade.
Camille's kitchen was the heart of her home. While running her dream restaurant, The New Yorker Bar & Grill, she extended her warmth and hospitality to friends and neighbors, transforming every meal into an opportunity to bring people together. Her friends, who she considered her extended family, will fondly remember the warmth and hospitality she radiated. She was truly known for putting others before herself.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents Elizabeth and Rosario, her cherished brother Jimmy, her dear sister Linda, and her beloved daughter Dawn. Camille's spirit lives on through her devoted husband Marty, her brother Joey, her daughters Wendy and Tracy, and her treasured grandchildren Nicole and her husband Matt, Stephen, Kristina, Michael, and Christopher.
A celebration of life will be hosted on Saturday, July 27 at 1:00pm at Woody Funeral Home-Parham.
