Catherine Genevieve Boyd

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Dr. Milton A. Boyd; her children Richard A. Boyd of Laurel, MD, Robert C. Boyd (Sharon) of Henrico, Ronald T. Boyd of Herndon, and Rebecca A. Duke of Henrico; her grandchildren Brandy M. Hunt (Bill) of King William, Robert A. Boyd (Shannon) of Henrico, Henry N. Duke of Henrico, and Alex B. Duke of Henrico; her great grandchildren, William Dakota Biggs of Richmond, Cyrus W. Boyd of Henrico, and Elliott Genevieve Boyd of Henrico; her brother, Charles Richard Gaush of Hagerstown, MD; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and friends of the Boyd family.

Genevieve was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was born in Brownsville, PA and resided in Henrico County since 1966. Genevieve worked in the Washington D.C. area in doctors' offices and hospitals.

She loved art and she made a beautiful home for her husband and family. Devoted to her family, she supported her husband in his career as a private practice physician. Genevieve enjoyed family gatherings, particularly at holidays, vacations on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and going on trips to the mountains. She instilled a love of learning in her children and grandchildren and insisted that all of her children complete college. Genevieve always found time for her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren who grew up with her loving influence.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 19 at 2 pm at Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N Parham Rd, Richmond, Va. 23229. A reception will follow the chapel services at the funeral home. Condolences may be conveyed to the family at www.woodyfuneralhomeparham.com
