Claudia June Graham Rossetti, a beloved mother and sister, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024 after a long illness. She was born in Stoneham MA, the daughter of Claude and June Graham and was raised in Melrose, MA. She had been a long-time resident of Richmond since moving to VA in 1985.
From an early age, Claudia displayed a remarkable talent and passion for swimming, competing for the New England Swim Club and setting marks for local and regional swim meets. Her athletic achievements extended beyond the pool. At Melrose High School she made history as the first girl to regularly compete on the boys track team. She also claimed the Massachusetts Girls Cross Country title and proudly represented her state in the National meet.
Her work ethic and determination extended into her professional life, where she spent many years as a medical biller for Medical Management of Richmond.
Claudia was known for her wit, New England sense of humor and accent, and her love of the Boston Red Sox.
Her memory will live on through her family - Candace and Brian Bosch of Woodbridge, VA, Michelle and Alex Najjar of Billerica MA, and Nicole Rossetti and Jose Garcia of Lynchburg, VA; also her three grandchildren Colette, Faye and Bo of Billerica, MA.
Also survived by siblings Marleen (Melrose MA), Scott (Los Gatos, CA), Kenneth (Stoneham MA) and Kathryn (Melrose MA).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The June A. Graham Memorial track scholarship at Melrose High School.
