Debra Virginia Libby

peacefully September 1, 2012 surrounded by family. Although born and raised in Miami, Fl.,

where she enjoyed some of her favorite things such as the beach and dolphins, she moved to

Virginia 31 years ago. For the past 18 years she was a dedicated employee of Chesterfield

County Public Schools as an Instructional Assistant to students at Reams Road Elementary

School, where she benevolently impacted countless children’s lives. Debbie was a very active

member of the church and choir at First Congregational Christian United Church of Christ in

Chesterfield. She is survived by her son, Chris M. Libby of Glen Allen, Va.; brother, Harry P.

Danforth Jr. of Williamsburg, Va.; sister, Jackie Hargrove of Lake Charles, La.; and her beloved

dog, Abby. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nina V. Danforth and her father, Harry P.

Danforth Sr., both of Mathews, Va. She will be profoundly missed by all that knew and loved

her. The family will receive friends on September 29, 2012 at her church starting at 1:00pm

followed by a memorial service at 2:00pm with a reception immediately following. Please visit
