Don was a wonderful unique character, he was very talented with a special sense of humour.  He was lucky to have you Barb and Terry, in his life.  You will have wonderful fond memories of your time with him.  We are so sorry for your loss

My deepest sympathy to Barbara and Terry Lee.   Aunt Doris and Uncle Bernard  and my family only lived one block apart as we grew up in Henrico.  Donald was 8 years older than me, and 3 years older than my sister, Linda, but he would frequently walk down to our house and sit on our front porch and talk with us.  I remember thinking that he was a pretty "cool" cousin for spending time with us!  As he grew older and started skiing, he would tell us about his travels and skiing adventures, which I just thought were awesome!  I also remember the day he came to tell us that Terry Lee had been born, and we shared in his joy and were so happy for him.  Then, as happens, Donald moved away, and then I married and moved to New Kent  -- and I guess we lost contact with one another, but I've never forgotten him.    Just seeing his picture in the paper brought back so many memories, and I so enjoyed watching his video and seeing all of the things that he loved and enjoyed.  I lost James, my husband of 45 years, a little over a year ago, so I know that you will both have challenging times in the days ahead, but just always remember all of the wonderful years that you shared . Don was always welcoming, kind and fun to be around. He will be missed. Our condolences from Carl, Charmaine and the whole McKnight, Gray and Bramble Families.

Don, you were so special in so many ways.  You sure loved to entertain and we sure loved listening to that "accent"... To spend time at your home and Nagg's Head cottage was wonderful. We know how you loved the outdoors, your hunting and telling the stories. 
You married a special "niece" of mine and together you shared the mountains in skiing.
We will miss you but  continue to speak of you in many ways....love to Barb and daughter Terry.
