Dorothy Broadwater Brown, 86, of Richmond, Va., passed away peacefully at her home on December 18, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Brown Jr.; sister, Bernice Hulslander; brother, Earl "Kenny" Broadwater. She is survived by three children, Ronald Eugene Brown, Karen Brown Brantley and David Keith Brown; brother, Carl F. Broadwater of Madison, Ohio; two grandchildren, Steven Brantley, Victoria Gaither; three great-grandchildren, Makayla Brantley, Autumn Jean Gaither and Declan Gaither; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Brown was a lifelong member of Christ United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. A memorial service will be held at Christ United Methodist Church, 6818 W. Grace St., Richmond, Va. 23226 on Sunday, December 21, at 3:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, at 1 p.m. in Salisbury Cemetery in Salisbury, Pa. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to her church or The American Heart Association.
