Enroughty, Douglas Earl, 79, went to be with the Lord on January 29th. He leaves his wife, Karen, son, David, and grandson, Aiden, to mourn. Doug was preceded in death by his son, Douglas, Jr. (DJ). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was born in December 1946 and was raised in Richmond. Doug lived for several years in New Jersey, while working in New York City.
Doug graduated from Highland Springs H.S. & attended VCU. Doug loved bowling. He belonged to a mixed bowling league, Miller & Rhoads, for many years. Doug was an avid Nascar racing fan. His Sundays were spent watching the Nascar races on TV. Doug's favorite charity was Children's Hospital of Richmond to which he was a monthly donor. He retired from SunTrust Bank in 2013, after having worked in his field for over forty years.
The family will be receiving family and friends Thursday, February 12th, at Woody's Funeral Home, 1771 N, Parham Road from 11:00am-1:00pm. Burial will be on Friday, February 13th at Washington Memorial Park at 3:00pm.
