Eloisa A. Karakatsiotis

Eloisa A. Karakatsiotis, 87, of Mechanicsville, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024. She retired as a factory worker from Nabisco in 1995 and was a member of Varina Baptist Church. She loved to bird watch, watch game shows and play dominos. She was preceded in death by her father, Eliezer Artola; mother, Maria Conzuegra; and brother, Enrique Artola all from Havana, Cuba. She is survived by her son, Athanasios Karakatsiotis (Suzane); grandchildren, Austin (Rebecca), Andrew, Alana, Caitlyn (Tiffany) and James; great-grandchildren, Dylan Kirby, Dustin McMillan and Malakai Gayle; dearest friends, Anna Myers, Miriam Martell (Wayne), Mabel Pleasants (Gerald); and niece, Yailin Torres (Ernesto). A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 20, at 10 a.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Varina Baptist Church.
