CHAPIN, Emily Mitchell, 95, of Chesterfield, was born on August 26, 1922 and passed away September 7, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald M. Chapin; and granddaughter, Marcy C. Mann. She is survived by two sons, David M. Chapin (Marie) and James D. Chapin (Gail K); two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers. Emily was a member of St Luke's Methodist Church, she taught English at Tuckahoe Middle School, she loved the Outer Banks and doing things with her family.
A visitation will take place at Woody Funeral Home, Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Rd., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. A service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St Luke's United Methodist Church, 4101 Fordham Rd., N. Chesterfield, Va. 23236.
