Floyd Calvin Conti

CONTI, Floyd Calvin, 84, of Richmond passed away Friday, May 6, 2011. Floyd was born October 18, 1926 in Richmond, Va. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Audrey V. Conti; three daughters, Diane Ellis and James Gagnon, Carol Daniel and her husband Mike Daniel, Pam Conti; a son, Ronald Conti; three grandsons, Brian W. Clark, Michael S. Clark and James Glenn Daniel; two granddaughters, Heather M. Moore and Tonya L. Clark; thirteen great grandchildren and one sister, Lorraine Slater; sister-in-law, Katherine Thomas and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Conti served in the Navy during WWII. He graduated from John Marshall High School and was employed his whole life by Richmond Newspapers, Inc. until he retired in 1983. He was preceded in death by his father Linwood Conti and mother, Hattie Conti, four brothers, Edward, Gordon, Linwood Jr. and Robert Conti.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Sunday, May 8, 2011 at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. where services will be held 2pm Monday, May 9, 2011. Burial will follow at Westhampton memorial Park. Condolences may be offered at woodyfuneralhomeparham.com.
