Woody Funeral Home-Parham
GLASCOCK, Garland L., passed away peacefully on May 28, 2021. He was an Army Staff Sergeant during the Korean Conflict and served 2 tours of duty. He was a printing supervisor for Reynolds Metals Co. for over 30 years and a longtime member of the downtown YMCA on Franklin Street in Richmond who loved playing handball. His quick wit and off the wall humor kept us laughing.
Garland was preceded in death by his son, Garland L. Glascock Jr.; parents, Andrew and Virginia; brothers, Andrew, Edward, Marshall, and Jack; and sister, Lucille Harris. He is survived by his son, Greg Glascock; sister, Marian Knowles; nephews, Donald, Michael, and Gary Glascock; and nieces, Pat, Terri, Kay, Jackie and Diane.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at Woody Funeral Home on Parham Road from 9:30am to 11:30am on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. A graveside will follow at 12 noon at Westhampton Memorial Park.
