Harold "Monty" Gatewood, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adelaide and Harold Gatewood. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Gatewood and her son, Christopher Huffman. Monty strived to be the best father possible to his two sons, Wesley (Charlotte) and Will. Recently, Monty had taken on the title of Grandpa to his granddaughter, Addie Rose, with whom he was smitten. He was also survived by two sisters and their families, Dale Bateman (Jan), Jay Bateman (Heather), Bea and CJ, Sarah Gagnon (Jason), Ella and Jacob and Cheryl Cooper (Greg), Alec Cooper (Alana), Katy Baker; a very special uncle, Robert Langford of Mechanicsville and aunt, Lottie Williams of Richmond. The family wishes to thank Heartland Hospice for their support and care. Woody Funeral Home-Parham, will announce a celebration of Monty's life on their website at a later date.
