MAWYER, Harold S., 82 of Richmond, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Diane Mawyer; brother, Samuel O. Mawyer. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lorraine Z. Mawyer; daughter Linda M. Taylor and her husband, Charlie, of Mechanicsville; son, H. Keith Mawyer and his wife Sandra, of Amelia; sisters, Elizabeth Harvey and Louise Tyson; grandchildren, Chad and Jason Taylor and Jeannette Mawyer; great grandchildren, Brock and Alyssa Taylor; many nieces and nephews. Harold served aboard the USS Sicily Aircraft Carrier during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired employee of USF&G Ins. Co. after 30 plus years service.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Sunday April 15th and Monday April 16, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. where funeral services will be held 11am Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Burial will follow at Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to charity of donor’s choice.
