Inez Snyder Wolfe passed away peacefully at home on January 15, 2025. She was born in Staunton, VA on February 6, 1945. Growing up in Churchville Virginia she attended Elk Run Church of the Brethren and graduated from Churchville High school in 1962. First, she completed a post graduate program at Buffalo Gap High School after graduation, then moved to Richmond, VA to attend Richmond Professional Institute, now Virginia Commonwealth University, graduating in 1967 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design. She married her great love in 1970, Wayne Douglas Wolfe. They were married for 35 blessed years and had two children in which she was very proud. The Wolfe family expressed adoration, devotion, and support to one another beyond measure. Inez spent most all of her adult life creating a loving home for her family, working in customer service, keeping children in her home, and serving in the healthcare industry as a claims analyst. She retired in 2007 from the State of Virginia, Department of Medical Assistance. Her next 19 years were spent living in Augusta County, VA. She enjoyed special times with her family, traveling, reading, and watching her “stories”, and sports on TV.
Preceding her in death include her husband, Wayne, mother and father Mildred and Samuel Snyder, brother Craig, sister Carolyn, Mother and Father-in-Law Rosa and Talmadge Wolfe. Those left to celebrate her life are her sister Lydia Moneymaker, and husband Bryce, her daughter Wendy Wolfe Crum, her son Wayne Douglas Wolfe Jr. and wife Tammy, nephews Derrick & Jason Moneymaker, his wife Heather, son Damien, lifelong best friend Marie Wimble, and special “second” daughter Michelle Schroeter. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to her personal caregiver, Paula Graves, RN and Hospice of the Piedmont for their exceptional care.
