She was preceded in death by her father, Warren Brown; mother, Helen Brown; and her brother, Thomas Brown. Jackie is survived by her husband of 38 years, James Hobbs of Henrico; son, LCDR Ean Hobbs, USN (Julie); granddaughter, Claire Hobbs; and grandson, Shane Hobbs all of Jacksonville, Fla.; brother, Matthew Brown (Karen) of Milton, Del.; nieces, Kelly Templin of Belcamp, Md. and Colleen Brown of Aberdeen, Md.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation, 2821 Emerywood Parkway, Suite 203, Richmond, Va. 23294. A visitation will be held on Thursday, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Woody Funeral Home, Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229, where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
