James Eddie Boone

James Eddie Boone, 68, of Ashland, went to be with the Lord, April 24, 2015. He retired after over 40 years of service with CSX and Amtrak Railroads. He was a proud member of the Clay Springs Ruritan Club of Ashland, Va., and a devoted member of St. Ann’s Choir and Catholic Church. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years Sheila Dyson Boone; son, James “Chipp” Boone Jr. and his wife Cindy R. Boone, and their children Lauren O’Neill Boone, Hailey Clarke Boone, and Christopher James Boone; his daughter, Kristen Boone Dussault and her husband Michael S. Dussault, and their children William Robert Hickman and Hannah-Grace Hickman; 4 great-grandchildren, Mariah, Makayla, Jahmya, and McKenny; sister, Donna Scott, of Portsmouth, Va.; brother, Buddy Jene Brown, of Durham, NC; aunt, Mary Collins, of Salem, NC; sisters-in-law, Carol Medlin and her husband Sterling Sidney Medlin Jr. and Peggy Hagrave; his four legged friend, Cassie and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm, on Monday, April 27, 2015, at the Parham Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N Parham Rd, Richmond. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10am, on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 105 S. Snead St., Ashland, Va. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina Inc., 400 Flemington Dr., Lake Waccamaw, NC 28450.
