John Creede Farley Jr.

A graduate of John Marshall High School, where he was a cadet. Attended the College of William and Mary prior to joining the Navy in 1943, where he was commissioned as a lieutenant JG Naval aviator piloting the SB2C dive bomber; served on the USS Princeton.

John retired as a hospital supply sales representative with Richmond-based Whittaker General Medical. A member of Overbrook Presbyterian Church and a past master of Northside Lodge No. 292 A.F. & A.M.

John is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years Frances Jene Burnett Farley. He is survived by his son John C (Jack) Farley III and wife Gladys, of Richmond; daughter Anne Farley and husband Peter C Hein, of New York; grandsons Nick Farley and Pete Hein Jr. John is also survived by his sister Marjorie Farley Bruce and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his brother Freddie Robert (Bobby) Farley.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 16, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Richmond, VA. A reception will follow immediately thereafter.
