Born in Chicago, Illinois, on April 7, 1954, Joe built a life filled with hard work, adventure, and love. Joe was the proud owner of an Italian pizzeria in Illinois, where his love for food and family came together in a place that brought people joy. He carried with him the values of dedication and craftsmanship, ensuring that every dish reflected his heritage and heart.
Beyond his work, Joe found peace and excitement in the great outdoors. Some of his happiest moments were spent fishing and hunting with his grandfather and uncle, always accompanied by his loyal dog, Tonya. He had an undeniable love for adventure, which was evident in his passion for motorcycles, fast cars, and his speedboat. Whether on land or water, Joe embraced the thrill of life.
In 2015, Joe moved to Virginia to be closer to his family and the beach, where he found comfort in the sound of the waves and the warmth of those he loved. Though his journey brought him to new places, his heart always remained with the family he cherished.
Joe’s life was one of love, laughter, and unwavering strength. His legacy lives on in the stories told, the meals shared, and the memories treasured by those who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, April 14th at 2:00 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 9505 Gayton Road, Henrico, Virginia 23229, where family and friends will gather to honor the remarkable man he was.
Rest easy, Joe—your spirit rides on.
