Kathryn "Kaki" Portewig Gleason, 98, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Carl Gleason; and her parents, William and Rozilla Portewig.
She is survived by her son, Michael P. Gleason; step grandson, Ryland Kuper and his daughter Elaina.
She was a lifelong member of Ridge Baptist Church. She loved to cook and entertain family and friends. Spending time in her garden and enjoying all varieties fo flowers was a passion. Her favorite holiday was Christmas when she decorated her home for family and friends to enjoy.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm, on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at the Parham Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N Parham Rd, Richmond, Va 23229. Services will be held at 11am, on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at Ridge Baptist Church, 1515 Eastridge Rd, Henrico, Va. Interment Riverview Cemetery.
