Lalitaben Babubhai Patel

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lalitaben Patel, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who departed this world on October 24 at the age of 93. She left behind a legacy of love and memories that will forever be cherished by those whose lives she touched.

Born on January 31, 1930 in Sojitra, Gujarat; Lalitaben was a remarkable woman whose life was a testament to her love of family and God. Lalitaben faced the challenging and heart-wrenching battle of Alzheimer's disease in her later years. However, nothing could diminish the love and admiration her family felt for her, nor the love she continued to share with them. Her family remained devoted to her, providing the care, comfort, and support she needed throughout her journey.

Throughout her life, Lalitaben was a pillar of strength and a source of guidance for her family. Her values of love, faith, and seva have been passed down through generations and will continue to shape the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving family, including her son Mahesh Patel; daughter-in-law Niranjana Patel; grandsons Devang (Angela Kopack) and Vishal (Ami Punatar); and her great grandchildren Mila, Kiran, Arya, Sahil, and Neev. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

The funeral for Lalitaben will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 30th at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, VA. We will come together to honor the life of a woman who was loved, cherished, and will never be forgotten.
