Lucille Parker Bowman

Bowman, Lucille Parker, 96, of Glen Allen, VA went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 2, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Heath P. Bowman, her parents Cecil J. Parker, Sr. and Katharyn Parker, her brother, Cecil J. Parker, Jr., her son, David Scott Bowman, and her granddaughter, Jordan Bowman. She is survived by her daughter, Marcia Franklin (Bill), her son Darrell H. Bowman (Carolyn), seven grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Lucille was a member of Pine Street Baptist Church for most of her life, and in her later years she was a member at Cambridge Baptist and then at Mount Vernon Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife and mother who put her faith and family

first in her life. Her greatest joy was raising her children and caring for others. The family will receive friends at Woody’s Funeral Home, 1771 North Parham Road, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 5. A service to

celebrate her life will be held at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 11220 Nuckols Road, on Wednesday, June 6, at 11:00 AM with a reception to follow. Interment will be at Westhampton Memorial Park at a later date. In

lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mount Vernon Baptist Church Building Fund.
